Ever heard of Fashion Nova? If you’re a huge Cardi B. fan, you’ve probably heard her enthusiastically strutting in her Fashion Nova ensembles all over Instagram--I mean, that’s where I’ve heard of the company for the first time.

But when you get on to their website, you may see cute bodysuits and sweaters, but they all happen to be modeled by fit and curvy women. And if you’re ~blessed~ with a rectangle shaped body, like me, you can’t help but think, “there is no way these pieces will fit on me like that, there’s just no way”.

Luckily, my AP Science classes are finally paying off and I thought to test out this theory and order a bunch of pieces off of their website to see how they would fit. For science!

I did some background research to figure out what pieces I should order and found that Fashion Nova is known to have the softest and body-hugging bodysuits and incredibly affordable trendy jeans that somehow make your booty look good. So I ordered 4 popular bodysuits in smalls and extra smalls, 3 of their trending tops, and 2 pairs of jeans. Keep on reading to see how they fit and my initial thoughts!

**Bodysuits are non-refundable. However, the rest of the items have free returns!**

I never buy anything pink, but this one happened to be on sale at the time I bought it (it still may be on sale), I had to try it out. Plus, I saw a photo of Kourtney Kardashian wearing it and she looked so comfy. Like most bodysuits I bought, this one is made of a soft slinky material. I was afraid it was going to look cheap, but once I put it on, it wrapped around my body the way I wanted it to and supported everything it needed to. Plus, this shade of pink looks pretty good on every skin tone--so I’m giving this one a big thumbs up!

This bodysuit is made of the same material as the pink crop top, however, for some reason, it didn’t have as much stretch. Luckily, I’m still able to squeeze myself in! I still like the way it looks and I am in love the “knot” design, I just wish I had ordered a small instead of an extra small. I also began to notice some inconsistencies with the bottom half of the bodysuit, where this one had poorly stitched snap buttons...But it doesn’t bother me too much given the price I had paid for it.

I have been looking to add caramel colored pieces to my closet, and I am happy that I had ordered this one. Again, it's of the same material as the first two tops, as well as the next top. Not only is it cute on, but it’s also incredibly comfy and soft against my skin. One thing that was only slightly problematic was how the bottom part of the suit was significantly longer than the next bodysuit, despite the fact that they’re the same size. But again, it was nothing too problematic.

I truly appreciate square-neck tops because it’s just so flattering across all chest sizes. I also am in love with the color of this suit. As I said, it’s made of the same slinky material as the rest. And in comparison to the other two bodysuits I had ordered, this one was consistently well made in regards to the way it was cut and in its stitching. I am probably going to eventually order one in each color just because of how versatile these tops can be--they’re cute enough to wear alone with jeans or a nicer skirt, and conservative enough to wear under a sweater or a blazer during more formal events.

This top looked so cute online. I was hoping it would be a body-hugging material with some stretch to it. Sadly, it was not. It was made of a very soft and slightly see-through material made from a third-party brand Fashion Nova seemed to source from. Regardless, I did like the sleeves *shoulder shrug emoji*.

I bought this item as soon as I saw it because it was a more economical version of the I am GIA Bardot top. I’m really happy with this purchase--it’s really cute on when paired with high-waisted jeans! The cinched sleeves also had enough stretch to them to where it didn’t feel like it was suffocating my arm. Solid piece in my opinion!

I’ll be honest, I am only half impressed with this bodysuit. I had high expectations after coming across this piece on their website. It, unfortunately, wasn’t thick enough to wear without a bra, barely had any stretch to it and was stitched weirdly on one side--creating a little lump. However, it does picture really well, as long as you wear a sticky bra and you cover the lumpy side. Hopefully, if you do order this top the stitching will be more consistent.

Despite the previous bodysuit, I was very impressed with both pairs of jeans I had purchased. One thing to note was that both pairs were from non-fashion nova brands. Regardless, both were made nicely. They fit true to size and have a slight stretch to them. Another thing to note is that the inseam of each jean is consistent across all sizes. So, be sure to measure your inseam and find a pair that matches your length. This one had a 26” inseam, and was unfortunately way too short for me, even as an ankle jean.

I don’t have very many pairs of light wash jeans, but I am very excited to add this to my collection. This one had a 27” inseam (I’m 5’6”) and these perfectly ended at my ankles and look so cute with my ankle booties. I also am obsessed with the way both pairs were frayed and distressed. Love them!
